Madonna

In 2017, the Queen of Pop purchased Quinta do Relógio, or Clock Farm, for €7.5 million in the town of Sintra, according to local news site SintraNoticias. The property is a part of the Cultural Landscape of Sintra, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Sintra’s proximity to Lisbon, makes it a convenient location whilst offering laidback countryside living.

Scarlett Johansson

After spending time in Portugal’s capital, the Avengers actress purchased a glamorous apartment in the Príncipe Real neighbourhood.

The upmarket district is known for its fashionable boutiques and 19th-century mansions.

Property in the area typically starts at €500,000.

Chris Evans

Chris Evans, better known for being Captain America on the big screen, joins his superhero co-star Johansson in admiration for the Portuguese capital.

In a relationship with Portuguese actress Alba Baptista, Evans now rents an apartment in Lisbon, and it is claimed he hopes to settle in Portugal with his partner.

John Malkovich

The film star has invested heavily in Portugal, from the film industry to nightclubs and restaurants. His go-to location is Lisbon, where he continues to frequent to this day.

He has spoken of his admiration for Portuguese culture and the welcoming atmosphere. He first visited the country over 20 years ago, where he was captivated by the architecture and gastronomy.

Pierce Brosnan

Brosnan's villa is located in the town of Quinta do Lago, which is a popular tourist destination known for its golf courses and its proximity to the beach. Brosnan has said that he enjoys spending his time in the Algarve relaxing on the beach, playing golf, and spending time with his family.

The famous actor also said that he loves Portugal's "luxurious amenities" and "convenient location." He has also said that he enjoys the country's "beautiful weather" and "relaxed lifestyle."

Monica Bellucci

The Italian actress and model Monica Bellucci purchased a home in Lisbon in 2020. Bellucci is known for her roles in films such as Malèna, The Matrix Reloaded, and The Passion of the Christ.

She has also been the face of several high-fashion brands, including Dior and Dolce & Gabbana. Bellucci has said that she was drawn to Portugal's "light" and "atmosphere." She has also said that she enjoys the country's "beautiful beaches" and "friendly people."

Matt Damon

Damon's townhouse is located in the Chiado district, which is a popular tourist destination known for its shops, restaurants, and cafés.

Damon has said that he enjoys spending his time in Lisbon exploring the city's history and culture. He has also said that he enjoys the city's relaxed lifestyle and its friendly people.

Alan Shearer

The Premier League’s record goal scorer has both an eye for goal and luxury real estate, with his villa in the Quinta do Lago resort area, home to many of Portugal’s finest properties.

He first came to Portugal during his time at Southampton as a 19-year-old, and soon fell in love with the country. It was thanks to the Algarve’s picturesque championship golf courses, combined with the climate and luxury amenities that led to the former England international buying up property.
